The prison guards ended up getting turned in when they got to greedy. They would force inmates to spend hours on computers and farm and mine gold.

Liu, a former prison guard who was reportedly imprisoned for three years in 2004 for illegally petitioning the government about hometown corruption, told the Guardian that the prisoners also mined coal, dug trenches, carved toothpicks and assembled car seat covers for export.

Casey Anthony’s murder trial started Tuesday with a defense claim that her 2-year-old daughter Caylee died of an accidental drowning, and was not murdered, and that her mother lied about it.

“She was not ever missing and drowned in the family pool,” Casey’s defense attorney Jose Baez told the court in opening statements in a Orlando courtroom.

It was the first time Casey’s side had presented in detail her version of events in the sensational case that started out as a gripping missing child investigation before turning to allegations of murder by the child’s own mother.

Caylee had been reported missing in July 2008 and was found dead five months later, her remains lying in a wooded area less than a half mile from her Orlando home. By then, Casey, who hadn’t reported Caylee’s disappearance for a month, had already been arrested.

Casey’s attorney acknowledged that the mother didn’t tell the truth about the girl’s disappearance, making up the story about a nanny who had been the last person with Caylee, but claims there was a reason.

Casey, her lawyer said, had been sexually abused by her father, accounting for her unusual behavior.

“You will hear stories about a family that is incredibly dysfunctional, you will hear about ugly things, secret things, things that people don’t speak about,” Baez said.

World famous movie and story writer Steven Spielburg hits prime time tv with his new show called Terra Nova, The show is about a family on a journey back to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a daring experiment to save the human race. In the year 2149, the world is dying. The planet is overdeveloped and overcrowded, with the majority of plant and animal life extinct. The future of mankind is in doubt, and its only hope for survival is in the distant past.

The show is planed to be a success and as most of Steven Spielburg work. I am sure it will be. The show will Terra Nova will air on fox starting fall of 2011

The number of women having babies at home increased 20% between 2004 to 2008 according to a new study in the journal Birth: Issues in Perinatal Care. The change is mainly due to a 94% increase in home births in white women, the authors said.

Home births increased significantly in 27 states during this period; only four states saw declines. Montana had the highest increase. Reproductive statistics expert and lead author Marian F. MacDorman of the National Center for Health Statistics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says home births are at the highest level since 1990.

“Women may prefer a home over a hospital birth for a variety of reasons including a desire for a low intervention birth in a familiar environment surrounded by family and friends,” MacDorman said. “Cultural or religious concerns, lack of transportation in rural areas and cost factors may also play a role as total costs for home births are about 1/3 those for a hospital birth.”

A volcano erupted under one of Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajokull, is abating after it forced close Iceland’s main international airport, the second such volcano eruption in 13 months.

“It is likely that the eruption is dwindling,” Magnus Tumi Gudmundsson, a geologist at the Institute of Earth Sciences at the University of Iceland, told national broadcaster RUV. “What we are seeing is that it has slowed. It went down to being similar as the eruption in 2004 and in Eyjafjallajokull a year ago.”

The height of ash plume is diminished to 11 kilometers (6.8 miles) from 20 kilometers, according to the statement from the Icelandic Meteorological Office. Meteorologists used a new weather radar system to monitor the development.

The Macho Man Randy Savage died yesterday (may 20th 2011) at the age of 58.

Macho Man Randy Savage was in a car crash in Seminole, Florida. According to a celebrity gossip site TMZ, Randy Savage’s brother told them that the Macho Man Randy Savage suffered a heart attack while he was driving his vehicle. The wrestler lost control of his 2009 Jeep Wrangler and crashed into a tree. Macho Man was rushed to Largo Medical center where he died later. Savage’s wife was with him in the vehicle when the accident happened but she survived the crash with minor injuries.

Macho Man Randy Savage is one of the greatest wrestlers of all times, along with co star Hulk Hogan. The Macho Man began his wrestling career in 1985 with WWF (World Wrestling Federation). Randy Savage aka “Macho Man” became very popular in the 90′s when he became the spokesperson for Slim Jim and is known for the famous phrase “Ohhhhhh Yeahhhhh”

I have been seeing alot about this story in the last 24 hours. Apparently Sheena Upton, aka Kerry Campbell, has provided TMZ with documents that she says proves it was all a tabloid stunt. Personally I think this lady has issues. Why would she even want her child to be looked at in such ways or her self for that matter. Is the economy that bad where people need to lie on there kids to make a buck? Next were going to have moms who come forth and say they smoke crack with there 10 year olds just to get some short fame and earn a few dollars. This ladie is a nut and needs to have her kid taking because as it seems she ran out of options to provide for her family.
